Event Description
“Saksham” is a socio-economic empowerment program that promotes electric mobility through e-rickshaws. The program provides financial assistance, training, and operational support to individuals from economically weaker sections, enabling them to earn sustainable livelihoods while contributing to a greener future. The “Saksham” initiative aims to revolutionize sustainable urban and rural transportation by introducing, e-rickshaws for women.With a strong focus on empowering women, Saksham equips them with the skills to operate e-rickshaws and manage logistics, breaking traditional gender norms and paving the way for economic independence.

Role of Volunteers
- Volunteers are expected to actively participate in assembling bicycles from individual parts, working in teams to ensure each bicycle is built safely and correctly guided by instructions of NGO Partner.
- Volunteers will perform basic safety checks, and may also decorate the bicycles or attach personalized messages to make the gift more meaningful for the recipients.
- In some cases, volunteers may engage directly with the beneficiaries often children from underprivileged backgrounds participating in a handover ceremony.
Expected Outcomes
- Women’s Livelihood: A measurable impact will be seen through the number of women receiving e-rickshaws and skill trainings, enhancing their ability to earn independently.
- Economic Empowerment: Empowerment will be reflected in the percentage of beneficiaries who report increased self-sufficiency after support.
- Income Growth: A key indicator of success will be the percentage rise in women’s average monthly income following the distribution of resources.
