Wheelchair Assembly
Event Description
The Wheelchair Assembly engages employees in assembling and customizing wheelchairs for individuals with mobility impairments, especially from underserved communities. Under expert supervision, volunteers work in teams to assemble parts like frames, wheels, seating, and footrests, and may also add accessories such as cushions or safety belts. The activity may include personalizing wheelchairs and participating in a handover to beneficiaries, creating a direct connection between the effort and its impact. This initiative promotes inclusion, accessibility, and dignity for persons with disabilities while providing employees a meaningful, purpose-driven team experience.
Role of Volunteers
- Volunteers play a hands-on role in assembling wheelchairs for individuals with mobility challenges, primarily from underserved communities.
- Guided by experts, they work in teams to attach key components such as the frame, wheels, seat, backrest, and footrests, ensuring proper alignment and safety.
- Volunteers may also help with quality checks, customisation (e.g., adding cushions, support belts, or personal touches), and packaging. They also interact with beneficiaries during a handover at the event or during distribution drive.
Objective
- To support mobility for individuals with physical disabilities or elderly from underserved communities by providing customized wheelchairs that meet their functional and comfort needs.
- To enhance the dignity, independence, and social participation of eldery and PwDs through access to assistive mobility devices tailored to their needs.
- To provide employees with a meaningful, hands-on volunteering experience that fosters empathy, team bonding, and awareness of disability inclusion.

Bicycle Assembly
Event Description
Bicycle Assembly also known as Chains of Change is an event where volunteers assemble the parts of a bicycle for the underprivedlegded children from communities. Cycle assemble is known as Chains of Change as it not only focuses on access of a resource to children but access to mobility in rural or semi-urban areas. It is partnering and giving first ever experience to girl child to ride a bicycle. Through this event we are taking children one step closer to quality education as lack of mobility leads to challenges that hinders opportunities and equity.
Role of Volunteers
- Volunteers are expected to actively participate in assembling bicycles from individual parts, working in teams to ensure each bicycle is built safely and correctly guided by instructions of NGO Partner.
- Volunteers will perform basic safety checks, and may also decorate the bicycles or attach personalized messages to make the gift more meaningful for the recipients.
- In some cases, volunteers may engage directly with the beneficiaries often children from underprivileged backgrounds participating in a handover ceremony.
